how bout a woody cut

As much as I didn't want to, it was time for Merrick to get another haircut. When Danny told him he was getting a buzz cut the first thing out of his mouth was "no how bout a woody cut." It was pretty funny! He loves all things Toy Story and even told me I get a Jessie cut. Every time he gets one he looks older and older. Maybe thats why I don't like them.

I told him to give me his biggest smile!

Christmas in Arizona

Can I just start out by saying how warm it was in Arizona. I must have adapted rather quickly to colder weather because highs in the 50's and 60's was absolutely perfect! If you would have asked me that last year, I would have thought that was absolutely freezing. We had a great time in Arizona with family. It was nice having the luxuries in life like...a car, cousins to play with ALL day, yards to play in and free babysitters!! Merrick and I were there for almost 3 weeks. Danny had to come back early for work and almost didnt make it because of the Blizzard of 2010. We did a lot of fun things though and you would think that was enough time to get it all done but it wasnt...i still have 3 things i didn't check off my list. Theres always next time though :) Anyways here is a recap in no particular order of  our Christmas vacation!

Cousins, cousins, cousins!

Flying in an airplane... the way home was my first time flying alone. Good thing Merrick was with me

Snow Day!

Today we got to play in the snow with some friends! It was cold and we only lasted a half hour but we still had fun. This area is probably the only one in the city that isn't "closed for winter."  Having snow on the ground is exciting to see everyday!

  {Merrick, Tommy and Ladd}

{They are so funny!}
As you can tell, he did not want to take a picture with me! The building under construction in the background is the new World Trade Center. A new level is added each week and now they are putting the glass up. When we left, it was not like that! It's going up fast.

Oh and I promise I will post about our Christmas vacation soon! We had lots of fun in Arizona with family.

Rockefeller Christmas Tree

Yesterday afternoon we made our way up to Rockefeller Center to see the tree on display. It was huge! The pictures dont do it justice. The best part was how sparkly it was with all the lights.  We have been trying to go all week but have been confined to the apt with coughs, runny noses and headaches. Even though Merrick is still sick, I thought some fresh air would do some good. He didn't get out of the stroller once and slept most of the time. Poor kid :(  Afterwards we went to Burger Joint which is exactly what the name says...a hamburger place. Its our new favorite place to go! Its tucked inside the lobby of a fancy hotel but you would have no idea. The menu signs are handwritten on cardboard, no plates, there are only 3 options to order, and its the smallest place ever. We were lucky enough to find a seat too! I ordered Merrick french fries in an attempt to get him to wake up AND get him to eat something but it didnt work.

{1.The lights are not very bright AT ALL  2.The only sign to know where to go. 3 Can you see where P. Diddy and Jon Heder signed their names?!}

Today I learned...
-that even if you are sick and cant get out of bed, your motherly duties are not put on hold. Merrick and I both spent most of the day on the couch napping and watching our shows.
-Special Agent Oso taught me how to make a homemade snow globe {i just might try it too}
-speaking of...there is snow on the ground outside...right now! This is a big deal for me!
