{The Yankees Game}

We went to the Yankees game last night and had such a great time! I've been wanting to go to another game this summer and it just so happened to be on Jessica's list of things to do in NYC too. We picked up Danny at Grand Central Station then headed up to the Bronx on the train. The weather was breezy and cool which was amazing since its been very very hot and humid lately. Merrick even brought his glove because he was sure he was going to catch a ball :)

Thursday Date Night

Tonight Merrick and I got to go on a little date :) We stopped at the park for a few minutes then scootered over to Shake Shack for hamburgers and fries. He was such a handsome date if I do say so myself!

{Rockaway Beach}

We went to the beach twice in one weekend! Monday {the fourth} we headed to Rockaway Beach. We met some friends there and had a blast. We got there super early and waited for the fog to burn off. No one was there so it was like we had to whole beach to ourselves. The water was nice and cool too. We collected seashells, ate Sour Patch kids and enjoyed the sunshine. Merrick loves the water and playing in the sand. In the second picture he is pretending to be a tractor with a digger. The best part was the tacos we ate on the way home!

Happy Birthday Merrick

I cannot believe my baby is three years old! His birthday was Thursday {July 7th} and he had a great day going to Central Park, eating ice cream and then having cupcakes to celebrate! Time really does fly by. I remember the day I had him, driving to the hospital, shaking when they told me he would be here in an hour, holding him for the first time and feeling instant love for a tiny little baby. He has grown into quite the charmer and has the cutest little smile. His personality is so funny. I love that I get to spend my days with him laughing and doing our favorite things. He is into all things boy...baseball, scooter rides, trains, tractors, water and sand, junk food, kissing girls and loving his momma! He has finally figured out the art of staying up a little longer by asking for water, stories and songs. He loves to act like he is calling his cousins on the phone. It goes like this..."Hi Tousins. What are you doing? Ok. Bye." He is the only one allowed to push the elevator buttons and has to wait for all of us to be there. He likes to climb into our bed during the night and cuddle. He will always let you kiss his cheek. His favorite part of the week is waking up Sunday morning and finding out its the day to go to nursery with his friends. He probably has more friends than I do :) I love this little boy and am so amazed at how much he has grown and brought our family together!

A Saturday at the Beach

Last Saturday we took the train to Long Beach with some friends. It was amazing! We got there super early which was nice because no one was there....yet. It was bright and sunny and the water was nice and cool. We stayed for a few hours then headed back home. I love that the beach is so close to us! It's a short train ride and an even shorter car ride to relax and enjoy the warm sand and sun.
