A DaY aT tHe PaRk

The other day we went to the park in AnThEm. That place is amazing for kids! Merrick loves his BaSkEtBall...we will not let go of it for anything. He follows it all around the house. Obviously we had to take it with us to the park!

yes its true...i love this little guy! He makes me laugh! Aunt Rachel watched him the other day and snapped this photo of him takin a bath! Love it!

Last week...

This post is going to be RaNdOm...
Last Friday we went to dinner at WaLdo'S BBQ....soo good! Merrick enjoyed my cornbread too..he loved takin a big chunk out of it. I think that place will be our new favorite!

A few nights ago i put him in the crib and came back to find him lookin out. He looked like a jailbird all caged up...kinda funny! Merrick is officially sick for the first time. Ear infection. He is so clingy and cuddly, which i like. But he always wants to be held especially during the night.
This picture makes me laugh...Merrick looks like he is tryin to act all tough! With his chest puffed out and a straight face on....haha

We have a new niece!!! She is one of the most beautiful baby girls i have ever seen. She is perfect! We went to see Ellee Marie last Saturday at the hospital. Isnt her flower so cute?!

Kitchen Makeover

So for now our kitchen is finished...there are still a few things that need to be done. Here are the before and after pics. Im 99% positive i will never paint our kitchen red again nor will i paint vaulted walls again. Way too scary for me! Haha but Danny did a great job!

i admit it..i love going to ThRiFt stores! I've found some really cool things there. yes i know they are smelly and there are some really strange things/people there but still i dont care. just bring some hand sanitizer and you'll be fine! i love finding things to fix up...today we found this gold picture frame which i spray painted BLACK, i think it turned out nicely! here are a few of the tReAsUrEs i've found thus far.

We are also is the process of painting our kitchen! I was thinking it would be a 1 day..maybe 2 day project but nope. So when its all complete i will post pics! And i'll end with Merrick's new thing....CLIMBING! seriously he can stand himself up in the crib, on the chairs at church and now he wants onto the table!

Caught ya

Today I caught Merrick diggin around in the pantry! I guess he really wanted some grape juice. He is so quick in his walker. He amuses himself by doin laps around the island making a pitstop at the garbage can. He also likes to go full speed ahead into the hutch. These things are life savers though!

We have also mastered nap time. He would stay awake all day if he could but no those arent the rules...he puts up a pretty good fight as we head toward to the crib though. It only takes 5 minutes before i find him like this...

This weekend Danny was in New York so Merrick and I stayed the night at my parents house! This was the first time since he's been born that Danny hasnt been home at night and it was a little rough. Merrick would NOT go to sleep, he kept rolling over looking for him. Finally i had to put a giant tigger next to him to get him to fall asleep. But other than that we have had a busy weekend! I discovered 2 new stores that i love! Kirklands and Hobby Lobby!!! Yes they both had really cute, really expensive stuff but i got all mine from the clearance section and love it! But my favorite purchase was Merrick's baby book! yeah i know, im 6 months late on getting it but oh well. Now i have to try and rewind the past six months and write it down.



Oh! can anyone tell me how to get my friends and family links to show when they updated??? i've tried to figure it out on my own but it just isnt happenin :)
