Christmas 2009

My goal was to post about ChRiStMaS before the new year...i have a few hours left! We had a great Christmas this year! Merrick enjoyed making the first tear on the wrapping paper then moving on to the next one. He got a basketball hoop and he is already making baskets :) He got lots and lots of books too! Danny is the best gift giver ever! Every year he gets me these amazing gifts that are so unique and full of love and thought. This year he got me an old antique piano (that still works...except a key or 2). Its from 1913 but the real reason I think he got it was because it was made in BoStOn :) I will post a picture of it but I still need to rearrange some stuff. For ChRiStMaS EvE my family came over and we exchanged gifts. Then we headed over to Danny's parents to do the same. On Christmas Day we mostly just lounged around and enjoyed the day together. We went to my parents house and had a yummy dinner with my grandpa and Rachel's "friend" :) Afterward we went to Danny's parents again and hung out. We ate lots of nuts and homemade chocolate candies and lemon sherbet for Merrick. Here are a few pictures from Christmas morning...all of Merrick surprise surprise!

Recent Events

We've been really busy this past week or so...lots of places to go, shopping to do, people to see! On SaTuRdAy was the annual ArNeTT christmas party which was lots of fun as usual. Merrick was so excited with his new present...especially since it had a ball with it! Danny and I got some awesome things too...like a handcrafted horseshoe christmas tree which i LoVe! I will post a picture of it in its all new MeTaLLiC ReD glory when I remember to.

Notice Merrick has to stand in front when all the other kids are sitting. Haha

Tonight we finally made it to see the TeMpLe LiGhTs. Merrick has been saying the word "liiii" for the past 2 weeks so the lights there were so fun for him. We only lasted about 10 minutes but we did see 2 families from our old ward.

And of course we had to stop for hot chocolate and donuts on the way home!

Last week we picked out our ChRiStMaS TrEe!!! Merrick had lots of fun

helping us look around and pick one out! He found a really good one and now its in our family room!!

On Friday we went to the annual Christmas party for my work! It was lots of fun...good food, weird gifts and lots of laughing!

My poor baby is sick :( He is taking his second nap of the day already...this is rare let me tell you. Plus he is keeping his monkey hat on which if he were feeling fine, he would have ripped off by now.

I cant believe its already DeCeMbEr!!! To start out the month my little sister turned 18 yesterday! I cant believe it. Hannah got to go out to dinner at a fancy restaurant and while she was away, I snuck in and decorated her room! HaPpY BiRtHdAy Hannah!!!

This morning Merrick got to go to a Christmas craft party! He {and by HE i mean ME} had lots of fun making a gingerbread picture frame, a wreath, a jingle bell necklace {which he is still wearing} and decorating cupcakes!!

Happy Anniversary to us!

Today is our 3 year anniversary!!!

3 years, 1 child and 5 moves later we are still in wedded "BliSs" :)

To celebrate, we went out to DiNnEr at Maggiano's!!! And let me tell you...it was delicious! The dessert was so good too...ice cream with chocolate and carmalized bananas and pound cake. YuM!!! We had a great time all by ourselves, thanks Rachel for babysitting.
