Last SaTuRdAy we went swimming for the first time this SuMMeR! and the WaTeR was soo nice. It was MeRRiCk's first time ever swimming and im pretty sure he enjoyed it...it took some convincing but he ended up loving it!

Merrick turned 1 yesterday! I cant believe it....the year seriously flew by. He has been such a blessing in our lives and are grateful he was sent to us. His personality is so sweet and you cant help but feel happy when he is around. Love you Merrick!

To celebrate....we went to the dollar store and got balloons! Took a nice nap, played with the basketball and had cupcakes.

JuNe UpDaTe

Since June is gone I thought I would update you on what we have been doing! To start, Danny has been in summer school...yes i did post last month that he graduated but these are just a few make up classes and he will be done at the end of JuLy! Lately we have been addicted to LOST! We have stayed up wayy too late some nights watching the seasons on DVD. My boss at work has all of them and we are trying to finish up season 2 cause i already have season 3 waiting! Im still working part time and having fun with Merrick. He keeps me busy. Im pretty sure he is making up for being such a calm and quiet baby! Speaking of him, he walks now! He has been for the past month. And man can it be funny to watch . Sometimes he looks like a robot trying move across the room. His latest activites include spilling dish soap all over the kitchen, finding a tums and then eating it while I was in the shower, trying to pinch a cricket with his fingers, slipping in a puddle of water I left while trying to get the tums out of his mouth, pulling out every pot and pan I own and the list goes on and on! I think im in for a fun time these next few years :) He is definately a little boy!

Im very excited for JuLy!!! Here are a few things im looking forward to.
- FoUrTh of JuLy...not sure what/where we will be but i still love it!
- MeRRiCk turns the BIG 1!!!
- Danny is DONE with school
- BiG BrOtHer starts
- Going to the LaKe
- Camping for the first time with Merrick
- Pima/Pioneer Reunion

Future Farmer

We've discovered riding tractors! It was so funny to watch him play on this thing...his favorite part was steering. Danny would push Aiden and Merrick around the yard and they thought it was so fun! Seriously he wouldnt stop smiling...i love this boy!

BuZZ

Merrick got his first HaIrCuT this weekend! It was really sad...but he looks so cute with the back buzzed. It took him 11 months to grow ALL his hair and what i was able to SaLvAgE wasnt even alot. Poor kid is gonna have thin hair like me. The sad part...i wasnt even there!!!!!! Danny did it while i was at the store. I should of known though, he had been threatening to do it for the past month.

MeMoRiaL DaY

For MeMoRiaL DaY weekend we spur of the moment decided to go on VaCaTiOn!!! Even though we were only gone for like 24 hours it was still fun! It was Merrick's first trip. The ride home was a little rough for us...if he wasnt sleeping he was screaming or sqwacking! We even tried out the DVD player..LiTTlE RaScAls of course but that didnt work. Anyways we were able to go see Danny's brother Boggs who is in Vista...we went to the beach and had lunch and did a little shoppin. He is quite funny! The beach was great! At first Merrick didnt want to be put down...he would beg to be carried but pretty soon we saw him inchin his toes into the sand. And a minute later he was crawlin all over the place! haha! I cant wait for our next VaCaTiOn where we can actually go in the water and stay a few days!
