Grandma Came to NYC!

After a year and a half of asking my mom to come visit us in New York...she finally did! It was great to show her where we live and what our lives are like here. I think she had a fun time but I know she was exhausted at the end of the day. I packed all our days with lots of activities :) We rode on the Staten Island Ferry to get our glimpse of the Statue of Liberty, walked around Downtown, ate at Kitchenette which I had been dying to try, Chinatown, Soho, walked all around Central Park then stopped at the Temple, visited the 9/11 Memorial, she helped me teach my lesson on Sunday, saw the Nutcracker performance in the Winter Garden, ate at Shake Shack twice, saw the big Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center, experienced Times Square and stopped in to the real toy store as Merrick calls it. The highlight of Grandma's visit for Merrick was that she took him on the ferris wheel inside Toys-R-Us. It was the cutest thing to watch him on the ride! He kept peeking out to see where he was and if he could see me. We loved having Grandma here and can't wait for her to come back!

This one makes me laugh! My mom is about to get in a cab for the airport and I asked them to take ONE more picture together and this is how it turns out :)
